    Specialist Software Engineer - SAS

    • Responsibilities

  • Managing and supporting existing SAS programs/Unix programs & support users
    - Providing SAS expertise and solutioning/feedback for continual process and platform improvement.
    - Monitoring control M jobs.
    - Processing JIRA tickets within timeline.
    - Developing new SAS code and optimization/automation of existing SAS code.
    - Work with the SAS user community; perform periodic code reviews to insure that SAS applications are utilizing efficient
    design principles and adhering to internally published best practices.
    - Provide solution assistance to insure that the most appropriate SAS technology is selected to satisfy the business
    requirement and to provide user assistance during early phases of the project lifecycle.
    - Contribute to the development of standards and operating procedures for the SAS environments and the development of
    new service offerings to insure that the user community receives the highest levels of support.
    - Responsible for providing SAS technical support to end users and implementing new SAS technical solutions including:
    - Helping to establish coding standards and best practices & optimization
    - Supporting SAS Administrator during incidents.
    - Execute change management processes surrounding new releases of SAS functionality.
    - Monitor the overall availability and performance of the current SAS

    • Profile required

  • 5+ years of Strong expertise in SAS programming/Advanced SAS Macro programming.
    - Good knowledge of Unix Shell scripting.
    - Expertise in SAS enterprise guide, ETL.
    - Expertise on SAS SQL & other Databases Teradata
    - Sound knowledge of SAS administration(good to have).
    - Prior experience on Production support and developing SAS codes.
    - Skilled in debugging SAS logs.
    - Prior knowledge of Control M.
    - Good to have knowledge on SAS Viya
