Job description

What you'll do

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Junior Architect to join our dynamic team.

As a Junior Architect, you will work closely with senior architects and project managers to contribute to the design and development of architectural projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to gain valuable experience in the field of architecture and to grow within a supportive and collaborative environment.


Responsibilities:

Assist in the development of architectural plans, drawings, and specifications under the guidance of senior architects.

Contribute to the conceptualise and design development of projects, including research, sketching, and 3D modeling.

Collaborate with project teams to create design presentations and participate in client meetings.

Conduct site visits and assist in the documentation of existing conditions.

Assist in the coordination of project documentation and ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations.

Support the preparation of construction documents and assist in the coordination with consultants and contractors.

Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in architecture and design.

Handle administrative tasks as needed, including organizing project files, maintaining drawing archives, and assisting with project scheduling.


Requirements:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.

Strong proficiency in architectural drafting software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or ArchiCAD.

Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as SketchUp, Rhino, or Autodesk 3ds Max.

Excellent design and visualization skills, with the ability to effectively communicate ideas through drawings, renderings, and presentations.

Knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction practices.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Eagerness to learn and grow professionally, with a passion for architecture and design.


Preferred Qualifications:
Previous internship or work experience in an architectural firm or related field.

Experience with sustainable design principles and LEED certification.

Familiarity with graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

Knowledge of building information modeling (BIM) workflows and software.
