  • Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • To be responsible for one category in one country and support the implementation of Category Strategy and Annual Category Plan, deliver projects and initiatives, and execute Supplier Performance and Innovation; to support the Category leadership with the day-to-day activities of Category management.
  • Support the development of the Category Strategy and the Annual Category Plan, as required by the Global Category Lead. Implement sourcing business plan for area of responsibility Deploy actions within categories, support the development of Category targets, and deliver savings targets where appropriate Support the aggregation of all Category level data across Divisions to inform the topdown target setting process. Support the collection of supplier, market, Category and internal business information at both the Category and subcategory levels. Assist the coordination of materials for supplier segmentation processes, as defined by the Novartis Supplier Performance and Innovation Framework and directed by the Global Category Lead. Supports the tracking and documentation of risk and issue management for the category. Facilitate contract management and execution (Cross-Divisional/Pharma spend
  • Understand applied practice, concepts and process in one or more procurement disciplines (e.g. category management, negotiation, contracts, systems and processes, project or information management). Reporting of technical complaints / adverse events / special case scenarios related to Novartis products within 24 hours of receipt Distribution of marketing samples (where applicable) Ensure material availability in line with the approved site production plan.
  • Follow up and ensure the accuracy of the material demand flow from sites to hub. Ensure daily MRP oversight for all BOM material requirements, analysis of requirements and Purchase Orders overview. Ensure management of daily MRP exception messages and appropriate follow up. Preparation and creation of orders for incoming materials and their submission to the supplier; tracking and monitoring execution of the purchasing process with the supplier, carriers, forwarding agency and insurance companies. Reconciliation of the needs for incoming materials from NTO sites to hub Performing the operational procedure for incoming material complaints. Performing complex purchasing and logistics processes (nonEU markets).
  • Managing the recordkeeping system (INTRASTAT, DDV, TARIC, SOX, ). Implementation of the necessary customs clearance procedures.
  • Responsibility for records, documentation archive.
  • Own, in ERP System, MRP relevant data and materials technical specifications. Provide a load balanced dispatch list for incoming materials to the warehouse and Quality department that ensures these activities are completed in line with the site needs. Responsible for controlling and ensuring the accurate material outbound planning from hub to sites with the right quantity and right time.
Responsible for ensuring close communication with site (operational / tactical) planners

Minimum requirements

  • What you'll bring to the role:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in MS&T or other manufacturing or procurement roles
  • Project management experience are a bonus
  • University degree in pharmacy, chemistry or other equivalent natural or engineering science degree
