    Analyst – Snowflake Data Engineer - Indore, India - Ignatiuz Software

    Description
    • Design and implement data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into Snowflake.
    • Develop and optimize data models, tables, and schemas within Snowflake to support efficient data storage and retrieval.
    • Collaborate with data architects and stakeholders to understand data requirements and optimize schema design for performance and scalability.
    • Optimize query performance by analyzing query execution plans, identifying bottlenecks, and fine-tuning SQL queries.
    • Manage and optimize the data warehouse infrastructure within Snowflake, including virtual warehouse provisioning, configuration, and resource allocation.
    • Perform data transformations and manipulations using SQL, Snowflake's built-in functions, and data manipulation techniques.
    • Ensure data quality by implementing data validation checks, profiling, and cleansing processes within Snowflake.
    • Establish and enforce data governance practices, including metadata management, data lineage, and security controls within Snowflake.
    • Monitor the health and performance of Snowflake's data infrastructure, set up monitoring tools, and proactively identify and resolve issues.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, data scientists, and business users, to understand data requirements and provide necessary support.
    • Document data pipelines, transformations, and workflows to ensure knowledge sharing and maintain system documentation.


    Requirements

    • Strong experience working with Snowflake, including data ingestion, modelling, performance optimization, and data transformation.
    • Proficient in SQL and database concepts, with a deep understanding of data warehousing principles.
    • Experience with ETL tools, data integration, and data pipeline development.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to optimize queries and troubleshoot data-related issues.
    • Knowledge of cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP) and experience with cloud-based data solutions.
    • Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and security practices.
