    Description

    Role Description:

    The performance of Fund Accounting related activities.

    Evaluates and reconciles complex funds including mutual, commingled, and collective for production of client month-end reports or for daily valuation. Verifies complex transactions, audits income reports within scheduled timeframes and resolves exceptions on a daily basis for fund accounts.

    Major Duties / Key Responsibilities:

    • have a thorough understanding of the theoretical and technical nature of fund accounting and administration
    • quality assurance checks on information received internally from other supporting functions.
    • closely with home locations to resolve queries.
    • create, maintain and update procedures for your funds.
    • that you comply with all controls and procedures outlined in the procedures manual and general company policies
    • and signing off on NAV files of other team members
    • closely with the Team Leader and Section Managers for on-boarding new transitions from home locations.
    • all scheduled work is completed by agreed deadlines, checklists are signed, and files contain all required.
    • identify efficiencies and areas for improvement to reduce risk and become more efficient
    • that technology available is being fully utilized in the most efficient manner.
    • ensure full and proper reporting to the manager of any operational issues.
    • delays are expected to flag any service delivery issues as early as possible.
    • review of daily controls and communications of any new idea's or suggested procedural changes.
    • assist with training and coaching new team members as the group grows.
