Client service - ensure client requirements have been understood thoroughly and they are met 100%. All your actions and communications must be professional and prompt so they reflect high level of client service.

The client confidence in you should be high so they can address you for all their problems instead of escalating them to management.

Professional knowledge - continuous updation of technical know-how related to materials, hand and machine embroidery techniques, stitching (where relevant).Should have worked in export house with minimum 10 years experience.

Hand Embroidery experience will be preferred.

Operational efficiencies - introduce savings and efficiencies in production. This includes suggestions for process/ system changes to improve efficiencies

Prompt and clear communication with all related functions within Chanakya and external parties (eg jobbers, suppliers etc) to ensure smooth production flow

Process awareness - awareness of Chanakya systems and procedures and strict adherence to these to ensure uniform experience to all clients, high quality of service+products and also to support a good internal control system.

Besides following current systems, you should also put forward suggestions for new systems that bring in efficiencies and participates in projects for new systems implementation.

Take proper handover taken from sampling division with all material, labour and style technical details before production order received
Study style in detail and identify all potential production blockages and solutions
Make time and action plan.
Communicate material requirements after thorough check and using judgment for wastage material requirement
Check material on receipt to ensure it is correct and quality is ok. Testing should be done as per client requirements.
Ensure correctness of patterns made by CAD before issue to jobber
Issue styles to jobbers with clear instructions on all technical points and ensure correct material (quantity+quality) is issued to him in stores
Do a thorough pilot run study for technical points and material+labour consumptions. Study any problems in technical aspects and differences in consumption at this point so we can solve the problem before full production starts.
Monitor quality of production by paying frequent factory visits. Certain part of production must be test checked.
Ensure checking department is always updated on style technical requirements and client feedback. Actively interact with QC to understand quality of productions, jobber feedback etc
Ensure timely deliveries from jobbers to meet final client delivery dates.
Maintain good client relations and ensure clear and steady stream of communication with them
Always keep client updated on production status and ensure approval for any changes in production are taken before proceeding. Status files should be sent to them minimum once a week so there is proper and clear communication of the production status.
Ensure shipment details are given correctly to export department.
Ensure optimum utilization of internal factories. When external factories are being used, negotiate for best labour rates
Give feedback on supplier and jobbers based on experience during productions.
Minimize material and labour wastages. Check material and labour reports for styles handled during the season for understanding of errors/wastages.
Introduce material, labour and procedural efficiencies
Follow all process and documentation required in the production workflow. Ensure production files and server is always updated with all current information
