    Description

    This role involves creating Trim and Chassis assembly illustration drawings for various global and region-specific automotive programs, supporting key physical build events such as TPV, DCV, and TT builds. Utilizing FEDE/GPIRS/Falcon BOMs to generate the IL-Index (Illustration BOM), the candidate will understand program-specific requirements to develop new illustrations, including selecting background parts and fasteners, and revising and updating existing illustrations. All drawings must comply with the Global Assembly Illustration Process and Methods. The role requires ensuring all parts are accurately mapped in the IL-Index or properly dispositioned, conducting meetings with Design & Release (D&R) engineers to resolve issues like CAD discrepancies and mismatches in torque or CPSC, and creating and managing IL items and ILECNs in Teamcenter. Additionally, the candidate will prepare homologation drawings for regulatory documentation, deliver drawings for related tasks, and support change control for all illustrations.

    • Responsible to deliver Trim and Chassis assembly illustration drawings for global and region-specific programs to support physical build events like TPV, DCV & TT builds.
    • Use FEDE/GPIRS/Falcon BOM as input to create IL-Index (Illustration BOM).
    • Understand program specific requirements and create new illustration individually by deciding background parts & relevant fasteners. Revise and update illustrations.
    • Illustration drawings must be created as per the Global Assembly Illustration Process and Methods.
    • Refer IL-Index & ensure every part is mapped to an illustration or otherwise dispositioned per agreed categories with evidence of direction for disposition.
    • Communicate & conduct meetings with D&R for issues like CAD missing, Torque or CPSC mismatch etc.
    • Create IL item and ILECN in Teamcenter. Configure IL item using attributes (like Occurrence ID, Variant coding etc.) available in illustration kick-off document.
    • Prepare homologation drawings for regulation documents. Deliver drawings for allied tasks. Support change control on all supported Illustrations.
    • Familiar with vehicle architecture and associated environmental components.
    • Skilled in identifying and sequencing the assembly of attaching/surrounding parts.
    • 4 to 6 years of experience, proficient in Teamcenter and Adobe Illustrator.
    • Experienced in creating illustrations for physical build events.
    • Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
    • Able to manage multiple tasks at once.
    • Highly motivated and self-driven.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders, suppliers, and customers globally.
