Job Title:
Assistant Steward (Restaurant and Bar)


Job Summary:


As an Assistant Steward in our restaurant and bar, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards in the back-of-house areas, including the kitchen and bar.

Working closely with the Steward and other kitchen and bar staff, you will ensure smooth operations and uphold high standards of cleanliness and hygiene to provide an exceptional dining and drinking experience for our guests.


Responsibilities:

Kitchen Support:


  • Assist the Steward in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, including dishwashing, cleaning equipment, and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and assisting with plating.

Bar Support:


  • Assist bartenders in maintaining cleanliness and organization behind the bar, including cleaning glassware, restocking supplies, and sanitizing bar surfaces.
  • Prepare garnishes, fruit trays, and other items as needed for beverage service.

Inventory Management:


  • Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating inventory of kitchen and bar supplies, including food, beverages, and cleaning materials.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and communicate any shortages or discrepancies to the Steward or management.

Cleaning and Sanitation:


  • Ensure all backofhouse areas, including kitchen, bar, and storage areas, are kept clean, sanitized, and free of clutter.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling and storage of food items and use of cleaning chemicals.

Waste Management:


  • Properly dispose of kitchen and bar waste, including food scraps, recyclables, and trash, following waste management procedures and local regulations.

Team Collaboration:


  • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, bartenders, servers, and other team members to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to address any issues or concerns and maintain a positive working environment.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods and lift and carry heavy objects.

Pay:
₹15, ₹25,000.00 per month
