Description

• Collaborating with the design team to develop ideas for new products based on research data.
• Conducting market research to identify new trends, fabrics, and techniques, and seeking design inspiration.
• Presenting story, mood, color boards, and samples to buyers.
• Collaborating with team members to select seasonal themes, make edits to the line, and create new concepts.
• Managing the design process from conception through to final styling.
• Ensuring product is in agreement with business strategy.
• Designing sketches for new products with a design team.
• Testing and deciding on fabrics, trims, colours, patterns, and textures for each design
• Overseeing the production of designs, including carrying out fittings, determining prices, and managing the shoot.
• Creating production sketches for development packages.
• Creating cost sheets, order sheets, and product lists.
• Collaborating with technical designers to ensure development packages are accurate.
• Reviewing product for style and fit during the presentation.
• Adhering the multiple deadlines.
• Maintaining relationships with vendors, suppliers, and portals.
• Communicating technical design information to the customer.
• Creating tech packs with detailed specifications.
• Developing CAD sketches to present to stakeholders.
• Overseeing the prototype sample process.
