Role & responsibilities
-
Principle Accountabilities-:

To oversee the food preparation, whenever necessary.

To visit admitted patients once a day and record their dietary habits and history, to ensure that good and hygienic food is served to patients by asking specific questions during interaction with patient.

To identify nutritional status and nutritional needs of patients. To respond quickly to patients complaints and suggestions. To maintain daily record of quality of food served.

To plan their(patients) diet and prepare Diet Slips to be given to the kitchen To change diet plan of a patient as per his/her medical condition.

To enquire about food allergies patient may have. To advise kitchen on how to prepare a particular diet for each and every patient. To exercise supervision over preparation of therapeutic diets. To keep records of all diets given to patients. To prepare diet for intravenous diet and tube feeding diets. To ensure that all chargeable diets are entered in charge sheet/ activity sheet in the patients file. To provide relevant diet chart to each discharged patient. To conduct OPD for advice on diet to outpatients. To hand over diet charts when required. To provide nutritional counselling to OPD and IPD patients. To carry out any other work assigned by the management

Educational Qualification:
Bsc./ MSc. Dietetics

Min 5 + years experience in Hospital is must
