Description

A very reputable Virginia-based transcription company, Soft Scribe LLC serving US clientele, with over 16 years of industry experience is hiring editors for business transcription and legal transcription to work remotely from home on a freelance basis.

Work location is not a constraint.

We are looking out for experienced editors in either of the transcription segment who can produce client-ready transcripts of 98-99% accuracy.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Legal Transcription

Experience in the verbatim transcription of previously recorded legal proceedings including hearings, depositions etc., and knowledge of basic legal transcription formats
Quick study to become familiar with specific format and style requirements as per the client specification.
Possess aptitude for discerning challenging audio and accented speech with attention to detail.
Ability to edit a minimum of 120 audio minutes of human generated transcripts daily. There may be a requirement of transcription from scratch to client ready transcripts.

Business Transcription

Experienced in producing ready to upload transcripts of live earnings conference calls in a short TAT of 36 hours from machine generated transcripts.
Ability to discern accents from various part of the world.
Excellent internet research skills and attention to detail and follow the context.
Flexible in accepting work schedule at any time of the day/night.

General Skills and Requirements

Possess excellent proofreading and editing skills to include excellent spelling, grammar and punctuation.
Must be reliable, dependable and committed to meeting deadlines.
Willingness to accept and learn from critical feedback.
Available and willing to commit time for onboarding.
Possess a working foot pedal, headset and good knowledge of transcription software.
Updated fully operational computer system with current licensed antivirus protection software.
Software to include MS operating system and MS office 2016 or later with current antivirus protection software.
Sign and accept contractor agreement which will include confidentiality, data security, nonsolicitation and other clauses.
Highspeed internet connection and reliable power backup.
