About this role:


You would be part of Gartner Consulting advising IT and business leaders supporting some of our large customers across North America, EMEA and Japan regions.

Within Gartner Consulting you will join as a Senior Data Scientist in the Global Assets and Tools team, dedicated to boost our consulting capabilities fueled with technology tools and data.


You will lead the development and operationalization of data science models and tools based on Clients and Gartner proprietary technology-related data such as technology market forecasts, technology spending, technology prices, and several unstructured / semi-structured documents and machine generated data.


As part of a global team focused on delivering data-driven insights and recommendations, your will play a central role building repeatable and scalable offerings.


What you'll do:


Work on Consulting engagements for the world's largest enterprises on their mission-critical priorities to tackle tough technology challenges and digital opportunities involving large data sets, and help Gartner consulting build capabilities to leapfrog ahead using machine learning and artificial intelligence.


  • Understand the client and industry context, exhibit problemsolving ability, and develop insight based on indepth analytics
  • Demonstrate an inquisitive and curious mindset, ability to think through the problem statement and the proposed solution and ability to ask the right data
  • Develop models that conduct advanced analysis, machine learning and AI solutions across a wide range of client problems including IT financial management, IT software market modeling, root cause analysis and hypothesis generation, cluster analysis, risk modeling, etc.
  • Integrate and explore large data sets to identify patterns, trends, and insights
  • Demonstrate strong expertise in qualitative and quantitative analytics techniques such as ability to create data models and building highquality visualizations
  • Invest on selfdevelopment by reading latest technology trends across different industries from Gartner
  • Working as Senior Data Scientist you will be responsible of growing our data science capabilities:
  • Integrate and enrich proprietary Gartner data and 3rd party data sets through data cleansing and data wrangling activities
  • Design, Develop, deploy and troubleshoot analytics models (forecasting, classification, natural language processing) against large data sets, parallelize and optimize models to improve performance, and enhance models to increase feature sets
  • Develop automated workflows to standardize ad hoc processes and drive data consistency and quality
  • Automate QA / QC processes to detect outliers and other anomalies, classify remediation priorities, etc.
  • Support the maintenance of all metadata related to the model, identifying opportunities for improvements
  • Grow the team of data engineers and data analysts to better leverage data science tools and techniques

What you'll need:


  • Overall 5+ years of experience with 34 years of relevant work experience in data science, applied statistics or model development
  • 3+ years of work experience with applied statistics / statistical modelling (e.g.,, correlation, regression, classification, clustering, forecasting, outlier, time series)
  • 3+ years of handson experience with Python or other software development programming languages, with working experience with Natural Language Processing and Topic modeling, Classifiers, and Neural Networks.
  • 3+ of experience with Microsoft PowerBI, PowerQuery or other data visualization tools
  • Ability to work globally and collaboratively in a team environment, be diplomatic, and influence technical practitioners, stakeholders, and globally distributed teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the desire to share technical knowledge and information with others
