About the Role

In this role, you will:

  • Gather and review financial data for financial and regulatory reports
  • Review data from the general ledger, unit reports and various financial systems to ensure accuracy
  • Prepare and review account reconciliations and certifications
  • Analyze projects relating to financial accounting procedures, methods, or systems
  • Perform ongoing financial control functions in accordance with internal controls policies
  • Provide support for compliance and risk management requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with stakeholders throughout the enterprise

Responsibilities
Primary duties may include preparing and/or reviewing bank and/or general ledger reconciliations, preparing aging information. There may also be involved with ad hoc requests to support the onshore team. Role will provide functional advice or training to lower level accounting positions.


Essential Qualifications:


  • Qualified Commerce Graduate with 12 years of experience in Finance & Accounting.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Microsoft Office skills.
  • General ledger experience.

  • Experience with effective written and verbal communications with an onshore team
  • Ability to prioritize and think critically to raise and provide input to resolve operational accounting issues for tactical efficiency
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with mínimal supervision in a structured environment
  • Ability to track deadlines and submissions on time
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
