- Announcing flight delays or other changes
- Verifying passenger identification and boarding passes
- Paging specific passengers to come to the front
- Helping passengers with mobility issues
- Assisting unaccompanied children and adolescents
- Explaining boarding procedures and regulations
- Coordinating with flight attendants and gate staff
- Taking passenger luggage for onflight checking
- Providing luggage tags
- Ensuring service animals have proper identification
- Weighing carryon luggage
- Responding to passenger inquiries
- Helping passengers find connecting flight gates, customs or baggage check areas
