    Description

    Welcome to our team! We are looking for a talented DevSecOps Engineer to lead secure development practices in a major project within the financial services industry. As a DevSecOps Engineer, your role involves embedding security at every stage of our software development lifecycle using cloud technologies and a proactive security approach. By implementing DevOps methodologies and leveraging your expertise in cloud security, you will collaborate with various teams to create strong, secure, and compliant solutions. The ideal candidate should hold a Master of Technology (MTech) in Computer Science Engineering, IT, Information Systems, or a related field, and should have a solid background in development, security, and operations with at least 6 years of experience. Your focus on cloud DevOps practices and integrating security throughout the SDLC, along with your enthusiasm for automation, secure coding, and infrastructure management, will set you apart from the rest.

    About the Role

    • Development & Security Integration: Implement security tools (SAST, DAST, SCA, etc.) and drive secure coding standards across the SDLC.
    • Cloud Infrastructure & Operations: Design and optimize secure cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automate deployment and monitoring.
    • Threat Detection & Response: Proactively monitor systems, analyze security events, and coordinate incident response to prevent breaches.
    • Security Culture & Compliance: Promote a security-conscious culture, provide DevSecOps training, and ensure compliance with security standards in the financial sector.
    • Tooling & Automation: Manage our DevSecOps toolchain, explore new technologies, and enhance automation in testing, deployment, and security processes for efficiency and reliability.
    • Stay informed about the latest cloud technologies and best practices.

    Requirements

    • Master of Technology (MTech) in Computer Science Engineering, IT, Information Systems, or related field.
    • 6+ years of hands-on experience in DevSecOps or similar roles with a focus on security and DevOps work.
    • Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
    • Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash) for automation and integration.
    • Strong security principles encompassing infrastructure, applications, data, and threat modeling.
    • Experience with security tools (SAST, DAST, SCA, SIEM, vulnerability scanners, etc.).
    • Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency in at least one core programming language with full-stack development experience.
    • Demonstrated success in building CI/CD pipelines in cloud environments.
    • Capability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in the financial services sector and its regulations (PCI DSS, etc.).
    • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices.
    • Certifications in cloud security or relevant DevSecOps areas (AWS security certifications, CCSK, CISSP, etc.).
    • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, serverless technologies, and cloud-native security best practices.
    • Proficiency in GitOps workflow and Version Control Systems (VCS) like Git.
