Senior Vice President - Product Management - Core Banking Solutions

What You'll Do:

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Product Head/General Manager to lead our Core Banking Business division. The ideal candidate will drive the strategic vision, product roadmap, and operational execution to propel our CBS to the forefront of the industry. This role encompasses P&L responsibility, strategic partnerships, and cross-functional leadership to ensure the success and growth of our Core Banking Business. You would play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction, development, and success of core banking products and services, while ensuring regulatory compliance, managing risk, and delivering value to customers and stakeholders.

Your job description might include:

Strategic Leadership:

Develop and communicate the product management vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with the overall business objectives.

Drive innovation and market differentiation through product offerings.

Product Strategy & Roadmap:

Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap to enhance our Core Banking System, aligning with business objectives and market demands.

Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer feedback analysis to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize product features, functionality, and user experience.

P&L Management:

Take ownership of the Core Banking Business P&L, setting ambitious yet achievable financial targets and monitoring performance against key metrics.

Develop and implement pricing strategies, revenue models, and cost optimization measures to maximize profitability and ROI.

Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and forecasting.

Strategic Partnerships:

Cultivate strategic partnerships and alliances with third-party vendors, fintech firms, and industry stakeholders to expand product offerings and reach new market segments.

Negotiate partnership agreements, service level agreements (SLAs), and commercial terms to ensure mutually beneficial relationships and seamless integration of partner solutions with our CBS.

Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to mitigate risks and ensure regulatory compliance in all partnerships and contractual agreements.

Cross-Functional Leadership:

Provide strong leadership and direction to cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, sales, marketing, and customer support, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

Drive effective communication and collaboration across departments to ensure alignment with product goals, timelines, and deliverables.

Mentor and develop team members, empowering them to achieve their full potential and contribute to the overall success of the Core Banking Business.

Team Management:

Lead and mentor a team of product managers, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure they meet their goals and contribute effectively to the organization's success.

Product Planning & Development:

Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, marketing, and sales to define product requirements, prioritize features, and manage the product development lifecycle from concept to launch.

Market Analysis:

Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.

Use data-driven insights to inform product strategy and decision-making.

Customer Focus:

Champion the customer experience by understanding customer needs, preferences, and pain points.

Work closely with UX/UI teams to design intuitive and user-friendly banking products that meet customer expectations and enhance satisfaction.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, customers, partners, and investors, to gather feedback, gain alignment, and drive collaboration towards common goals.

Performance Management:

Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success and impact of product initiatives and use metrics to drive continuous improvement and optimization.

Risk Management:

Identify potential risks and challenges related to product development and market dynamics and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on business outcomes.

Communication:

Communicate product plans, progress, and results to internal and external stakeholders through presentations, reports, and other channels, ensuring transparency and accountability.

What You Need:

- You have 15+ years full-time work experience in Product Management with a focus on building Core Banking and financial applications.

- You have worked for 1+ years in an engineering background either in core development or into software engineering.

- You must have contributed to product roadmaps, creation of stories, planning or releases and market study to conceptualize and build products for large financial institutions.

- You should be a subject matter expert in building and/or implementing Core Banking System.

- You have prior experience in working closely and cross-functionally with a number of diverse teams including Technology, Dev, Operations, Customer Support, Analytics, Content, Design and other critical decisioning teams.

- Experience in taking quick decisions basis data & analytical inputs.

- Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.

- Sharp eye for detail and highly developed organizational skills, including the ability to mentor teams.
