Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Strategy:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with the company's objectives and costsaving goals.
  • Identify costeffective sources of supply while maintaining quality standards.
  • Monitor market trends and industry developments to stay updated on the latest materials and pricing trends.

Supplier Management:

  • Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
  • Negotiate supplier agreements, contracts, and terms to secure favorable conditions for the company.
  • Continuously assess supplier performance and address any issues or noncompliance promptly.

Inventory Management:

  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production demands while minimizing carrying costs.
  • Implement inventory control systems and conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Work closely with production and finance teams to forecast material requirements.

Cost Control:

  • Analyze cost structures and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Implement costsaving initiatives and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Ensure adherence to budgetary constraints and financial objectives.

Quality Assurance:

  • Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure that purchased materials meet specified quality standards.
  • Implement quality assurance processes to mitigate the risk of substandard materials entering the production process.

Compliance:

  • Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations related to procurement and supply chain activities.
  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to legal and ethical standards.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a highperforming purchase department team.
  • Set clear goals and expectations for team members and conduct performance evaluations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related role within the manufacturing industry, with at least [X] years in a managerial capacity.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using procurement and inventory management software.
  • Indepth knowledge of leather and related materials is a plus.
  • Excellent problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in procurement.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
