    Description

    We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist specialized in Demand forecasting.


    The candidate should have extensive experience in handling large-scale datasets, building robust forecasting models for long-term predictions (1, 3, and 5 years), and proficiency in Python programming.

    The role entails a blend of exploratory data analysis (EDA), Feature engineering, model development, testing, and deployment in a fast-paced Data Preparation and Exploration


    Model Development:

    • Design and implement advanced time series forecasting models tailored to specific business needs.
    • Utilize statistical methods, machine learning techniques, and deep learning architectures for model development.
    • Optimize model performance through feature engineering, hyper parameter tuning, and model selection.

    Validation and Testing:

    • Develop rigorous testing frameworks to evaluate model accuracy, robustness, and reliability.
    • Perform back testing and crossvalidation to assess the generalization capability of the models.

    Long-Term Forecasting:

    • Develop forecasting models capable of predicting future trends over extended long periods
    • Incorporate external factors, seasonal patterns, and macroeconomic indicators into the forecasting models.

    Model Deployment and Monitoring:

    • Deploy models into production environments, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
    • Implement monitoring mechanisms to track model performance, drift detection, and recalibration as necessary.

    Documentation and Communication:

    • Document methodologies, assumptions, and findings for reproducibility and knowledge Proven experience (3+ years) in developing time series forecasting models, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
    • Proficiency in Python programming and data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
    • Strong understanding of statistical methods ( ARIMA, SARIMA, LSTM, Decomposition etc) , machine learning algorithms, and deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
    • Experience with distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark) and cloud platforms (e.g., AZURE, Block Storage etc) is desirable.
    • Excellent problemsolving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
    • Effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
    • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in crossfunctional teams and adapt to changing priorities in a fastpaced environment.
