About the Product Analytics Team:


Analytics is a dynamic team within the DWS Product Strategy, Lifecycle and Analytics sub-division as part of the Product Division.

Our objective is to develop and implement state of the art analytical models and visualizations and to integrate the best available data in order to facilitate data-driven decision making across a wide range of investment-, product
- and coverage-related topics. For this, we leverage advanced analytical methodologies, the latest technology available as well as cooperation with external partners such as universities. Our key focus is on performance, flows and profitability of DWS' and peer products across all asset classes, client segments and regions. We are a global team of experts partnering closely with portfolio managers, product specialist and coverage teams. We are strong believers in data-based decision making.

Your key responsibilities
As a Data Scientist - Product you are part of the Product Analytics team in the global Product Division:

  • Conduct independent research regarding assets & flows, performance and perform competitor analyses across all asset classes and regions
  • Drive research on ESG related topics and sustainability trends such as net zero or biodiversity
  • Support analysis of technology trends such as tokenization and AI and their adoption in asset management
  • Support regular creation and automation of standard reporting
  • Perform regular or adhoc analyses in Excel, develop & draft new reporting / analysis formats and standardization / automation of existing processes and use cases
  • Meaningful presentation and commentary of results in PowerPoint (incl. Think-Cell)

Your skills and experience:


  • Bachelors/Masters or international equivalent degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics or any other quantitative discipline. A CA and/or CFA would be a plus
  • Advanced Proficiency in MS-Office
  • Advanced visualization and presentation skills, knowledge of a stateofthe art BI tool (Qlik, Tableau, Power BI etc.) would be a plus, some background in UI/UX design is also beneficial
  • Experience with relevant data providers such as Morningstar, eVestment, Broadridge
  • Strong analytical skills, some experience in a programming language (e.g. Python) would be a plus

Competencies:

  • Ability to discuss at eye level with senior business stakeholders experience in asset management or a related discipline would be a plus
  • Highly organized with a keen eye for detail and proven track record operating in a fastpaced environment
  • Intellectual curiosity and initiative combined with professional and personal integrity
  • Very good communication skills in English further skills in German would be a plus
  • Team player with an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion to learn and grow
