Description
Should have minimum 5 years of total experience out of which 2 years of relevant experience in handling Azure database

  • Azure SQL

Database Management:
Managing and administering Azure SQL databases, including database provisioning, configuration, performance tuning, and monitoring.

  • SQL Migration: Planning and executing the migration of onpremises SQL Server databases to Azure SQL Database or Azure SQL Managed Instance. This involves assessing the existing databases, designing the migration strategy, and performing the actual migration with mínimal downtime.
  • Performance Optimization: Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks in the database, such as query optimization, index tuning, and analyzing query execution plans. Implementing performance monitoring and tuning strategies to ensure optimal database performance.
  • Security and Compliance: Implementing security measures and best practices for Azure SQL databases, including data encryption, access controls, and auditing. Ensuring compliance with relevant data protection regulations and standards.
  • High Availability and

Disaster Recovery:

Implementing high availability and disaster recovery solutions for Azure SQL databases, such as failover groups, active geo-replication, and backup and restore strategies.

Testing and validating the recovery procedures.

  • Automation and Scripting: Developing automation scripts and PowerShell commands to streamline database deployment, configuration, and management tasks. Leveraging Azure Resource Manager templates for infrastructure deployment.
  • Collaboration and Documentation: Working closely with crossfunctional teams, including developers, architects, and infrastructure teams, to gather requirements, provide guidance, and troubleshoot databaserelated issues. Documenting database designs, configurations, and procedures.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Setting up monitoring and alerting mechanisms to proactively identify and resolve databaserelated issues. Conducting root cause analysis for incidents and implementing corrective actions.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills and communication skill in oral and written.
