    OVERVIEW :

    The IT Internal Controls Analyst, reporting to the Manager, Internal Controls, will support the Corporate Internal Controls team to ensure a successful implementation of a first-year SOX program that is subject to an opinion by the Company's external auditors. The IT Internal Controls Analyst will demonstrate a thorough understanding of the concepts, terminology, capabilities, and applications of technology, security risks, and control risks associated with various IT architectures.

  • Support the Internal Controls Manager in assessing financial, operational, and regulatory risks relating to the company's use of information technology, evaluating controls over information systems, and providing control recommendations to IT Management.
  • Partners with process owners to evaluate and document key IT processes and related financial statement risks, including
  • Review and update of process documentation
  • Conducting walkthroughs
  • Preparing test plans
  • Documenting IT processes and test activities
  • Conducting tests of SOX IT General Controls (ITGCs)
  • Collaborates with business partners to design frameworks and procedures in accordance with IT Strategy
  • Assists with assessment of internal control design to identify any design gaps and provides guidance with implementation of new or revised controls
  • Develops policy and standards in accordance with IT Governance
  • Presents testing findings and recommendations to management in a clear, concise manner, presenting information appropriate to the level of management.
  • Works with business partners to develop remediation plans and assist in remediation testing
  • Prepares clear, accurate and complete work papers in accordance with audit quality standards;
  • Meets project timelines and deliverable due dates
  • Contributes to our positive, team-oriented culture by maintaining cooperative relationships, facilitating the resolution of conflicts, as necessary, sharing information, and accepting and providing constructive feedback
  • Assists with various projects as assigned by a direct supervisor
  • Performs other related duties and activities as required

    • SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required to perform the job.

    • Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Accounting, Audit, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems
  • 3 + years of relevant experience in an internal audit function with strong internal controls background
  • Working knowledge of professional standards, regulations and frameworks required:
  • Sarbanes Oxley regulations
  • IT Risk Assessment
  • IT Security (Logical, Network, Hardware)
  • BCP/Disaster Recovery/Data Availability
  • Software Acquisition and Development
  • Change Management (Software, Hardware)
  • General Controls and Application controls

    • Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to interact with all levels within the organization
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities at a time through effective project management skills
