    Description

    About Process Equipment Division:
    Established in 1976, Godrej Process Equipment is a leader in fabricating unit static equipment for process industries.

    The business manufactures the entire range of custom-built critical process equipment for global end-users in core industries like oil & gas, refineries, petrochemicals, chemicals, fertilizers, power and water across six continents in the world.


    Godrej Process Equipment has two manufacturing facilities in India, at Vikhroli, Mumbai and Dahej, Gujarat with an access to own jetties in both locations, making transportation to anywhere in the globe convenient and easy.

    Job Description:
    Design Strategy for Optimum Engineering

    • Work with other functions to suggest better and optimum design for the projects
    • Ensure correctness and timeliness of drawings and other design documents as per international codes and requirement of the clients
    • Coordinate with internal customers for their various requirements and manufacturing capability
    • Coordinate and correspond with client, third party Inspection Agency, PE etc. for approval of design documents
    Profitability & Cost Optimization

    • Ensure preparation and design of documents as per the divisions goals for required order booking, billed sales and profitability
    • Identify and suggest alternative material / processes for the products and components in order to bring down the costs.
    • Cut costs by restricting design error related back charges and manage Design related software and AMC expenses etc.
    Productivity Enhancement & Automation

    • Introduce | enhance level of automation in various processes to minimize manual interventions in Design
    • Contribute to divisional productivity enhancement initiatives
    • Ensure reduction of rework at departmental level
    People Development

    • Lead a team of Design managers, engineers and draughtsmen
    • Ensure development of skilled and competent manpower for design to meet the global competition
    • Identify Competency gaps of team & work on developmental plans
    Organizational initiatives & Statutory Compliance

    • Drive management systems and initiatives such as IMS, TPM, KAIZEN and Business Excellence for department
    • Ensure adherence to and management of Quality systems (ISO, ASME etc.)
    • Ensure safety procedures are followed at all levels and good housekeeping levels are maintained
    • Understand and ensure compliance with all statutory requirements and internal processes.
    Essential

    • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Production)
    • Minimum 15 years of experience )
    • Relevant experience in Design in Process Equipment Industry in Heat Exchangers, Pressure Vessels, Columns, and Reactors using national and international codes like ASME (Sec. VIII Div. 1 & 2), HTRI, TEMA, AD Merkblatter, PD 5500, Chinese SQL etc.

    • Knowledge of various national and international material specifications
    • Knowledge of AUTOCAD (PV Elite Software) and ERP (BaaN) software
