A Resort Housekeeper plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of guest accommodations and public areas within the resort.
This position is essential to ensure that guests have a pleasant and comfortable stay, and it contributes to the overall positive reputation of the resort.
Responsibilities:
Room Cleaning:
Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including bedrooms, bathrooms, and living areas, following established cleaning procedures and standards.
Linen and Towel Care:
Replace used linens, towels, and toiletries with fresh ones and ensure that adequate supplies are available in each room.
Inspect and Report:
Inspect rooms for damages, maintenance issues, and missing items, and promptly report any issues to the maintenance or front desk team.
Public Area Maintenance:
Keep all public areas, such as lobbies, hallways, elevators, and recreational spaces, clean and tidy.
Stocking and Inventory:
Maintain a stock of cleaning supplies and amenities and inform the supervisor when replenishment is needed.
Lost and Found:
Report and turn in any lost and found items to the appropriate department.
Guest Requests:
Attend to guests' requests promptly and ensure their needs are met in a professional and courteous manner.
Teamwork:
Collaborate with other housekeeping team members to achieve departmental goals efficiently.
Health and Safety:
Adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and hazard-free environment for guests and colleagues.
Special Occasions:
Prepare rooms for special occasions or events, such as weddings or conferences, according to specific requirements.
Sustainability:
Promote sustainable practices within housekeeping operations, such as energy conservation and waste reduction.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role is an advantage but not always required; onthejob training is often provided.
- Attention to detail and a keen eye for cleanliness.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and team members effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate resort operations.
