Position Summary/Main Purpose of the Role:

In this role, you will be engaged to work with leading-edge development teams to understand our product testing needs and will define a testing plan and methodology that will ensure that we are developing a quality product.

You will identify and incorporate modern testing tools that will help us achieve that goal.
We are a product-based company, and you will be working at Straumann's Software Development Center based out of Bengaluru.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Design a test environment that will allow us to achieve our quality product goals
  • Perform continuous improvements of the development test framework and processes
  • Setup and continuously improve the product test automation framework/architecture in close cooperation with the product architects and the teams
  • Propose changes that will measurably improve our ability to identify product defects early
  • Continuously look for ways to improve our test processes and help lead those changes to achieve faster test cycles
  • Propose changes to the tooling used, provide clear justification on the benefits/rationale for making any changes, and help the migration to new tools
  • Help shift the entire test process as far left as possible
  • Be a modern testing practices mentor for the engineering organization
  • Help improve our implementation and adoption of agile methodology about testing practices
  • Perform continuous improvement of test data management approach; propose and lead changes to ensure test data is managed optimally
  • Track metrics such as testing coverage, defect densities, open defects, etc.
  • Drive for quantifiable results from manual, automation & performance testing

Education:


  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in IT or related field (minimum education level and/or related major for the role)

The Successful profile would probably look like: (6~8 bullet points)

  • Total IT experience of 12+ years
  • Minimum 10 year of handson experience in creating automation frameworks in Java-Selenium, Rest Assured, Appium or Postman.
  • Proven experience on Manual testing
  • Expertise in automating the manual tasks with Batch
  • Shell scripting, API framework development, Automation framework migration
  • Strong knowledge on Scripting and Framework (Selenium Webdriver, Appium and API)
  • Should be able to estimate the requirements.
  • Ability to perform in a team environment
  • Experience working in Agile methodology
  • Motivated selfstarter with a high attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced, teambased environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Collaborating with QA Analysts and Software Developers to develop solutions.
  • Expertise in working in an agile/scrum environment with a deep understanding of Testing Principles

Good to have skills:


  • Should be able to setup Jenkins job for the test suite
  • Proven working experience in software development
  • Worked experience in a healthcare industry.
