Description

Counselor is an important role. Under general direction, provides counseling in the areas of admissions, academics, student services, program selection, and career planning-related counseling.

Duties & Responsibilities of Academic Counselor

The person will be the first line of contact for all incoming communications to the admissions

office.

Will be working closely with the admission department across the University and will be

coordinating with the concerned team for the smooth onboarding of students.

He / She is required to coordinate/attend/represent/participate at the various admission

events for the promotion of the program and admission process at the Institute /University.

Monitor the responses and provide data to generate leads.
MIS and making reports

Qualification & Experience

Bachelor's Degree from any statutory University or the qualification prescribed by the Board of

Training in Counselling is desirable.

Previous experience working as a counselor in an education institute preferred

Skills & Abilities required

Good English language ability
Good English Communication Skills
Ability to speak clearly and articulately
Ability to manage complaint calls with a calm disposition
Some amount of knowledge of call center systems such as telephony systems, CRM Databases, and computer
Willingness to learn and understand all the products and services offered by the organization
Ability to multi-taskTips: Provide a summary of the role, what success in the position looks like, and how this role fits into the organization overall.
