Description

To lead the Demand Planning (DP) Process in company.

To create a baseline Demand Plan for Finished Goods for all the channels and to work with all stake holders to finalize month's Demand Plan as per the timeline.

Also, to analyze and work with Sales to improve the Sales Forecast accuracy.

Responsibilities:

Key Decisions

Developing the Base Demand Plan
Forewarning to Supply Planners and Deployment Planners in case of major variations observed in actual sales vs the Sales Forecast (Demand Plan)

Requirements:

Develop and implement month's Demand Plan

Create Month's " Baseline Demand Plan" in terms of projected Primary Sales by using past sales data trend, seasonality factors and exceptional event factors.
Finalize the month's Demand Plan (Sales Forecast) with different internal stakeholders (Sales, Marketing and SCM).
Provide inputs to Supply Planner due to variations in actual sales vs the Demand Plan
To analyze the Sales Forecast accuracy and to work with stake holders to improve the Sales Forecast Accuracy.
To work with Information Systems (IS) team to develop an effective Demand Planning Tool.
To train the Sales team to implement the Demand Plan Tool.

Functional Skills:

Good knowledge of MS Excel
Business Understanding
Supply Chain Management Experience in Manufacturing/FMCG Sector
Understanding Supply Chain Management Tools like SAP APO, Oracle ASCP and SNO etc
