    Job Description :


    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Linux System Administrator to join our team and play a vital role in managing and optimizing our Linux infrastructure on the AWS platform.


    Minimum Requirements :

    • 9+ years of experience in Linux system administration with a strong focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
    • Proven experience in administering and maintaining RHEL instances on the AWS platform (EC2).
    • Indepth knowledge of monitoring and troubleshooting Linux systems and applications.
    • Handson experience in performance monitoring tools and techniques for scaling cloud environments.
    • Experience with Linux system patching procedures, including preupdate snapshots and vulnerability management.
    • Strong understanding of security best practices in a cloud environment, including cookie security, web browser security, serverside encryption, data encryption at rest, and key management.
    • Experience with Red Hat Image management for containerized deployments.
    • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS) services like :
    • EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud)
    • S3 (Simple Storage Service)
    • RDS (Relational Database Service)
    • ELB (Elastic Load Balancing)
    • SSM (Systems Management Service)
    • EBS (Elastic Block Store)
    • Experience with installing, configuring, and maintaining common Linux services :
    • Bind (DNS server)
    • Apache (web server)
    • Nginx (web server)
    • MySQL (database server)
    • Proficiency with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, CloudFormation, Puppet, or Chef.
    • Strong scripting skills in Bash or Python for automating administrative tasks.
    • Solid understanding of networking concepts, including VPCs (Virtual Private Clouds), subnets, and routing.
    • Familiarity with network troubleshooting tools like iptables, Linux IPVS, and HAP Roxy.
    • Experience in capturing, interpreting, and analyzing network traffic.
    • Working knowledge of network protocols like DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP, and SNMP.
    • Ability to troubleshoot Apache issues like performance bottlenecks, restart failures, and request queuing.
    • Experience with multiplatform volume management solutions like LVM (Logical Volume Manager), ZFS, NAS (Network Attached Storage), and VERITAS Volume Manager.
    • Experience implementing security controls in an AWS cloud environment.
    • Familiarity with wired and wireless networking hardware and architectures, including VLAN (Virtual LAN) setup, VPN, routing, IPv4, and IPv6.
    • Experience managing user accounts for a large organization.

    Desired Skills :

    • Linux certifications (RHCT, RHCE, LPIC) are a plus.
    • Experience with container orchestration platforms like Docker and Kubernetes.
    • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.

    Responsibilities :

    • Manage and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux instances on the AWS platform.
    • Perform system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
    • Implement and maintain Linux system patches and updates, ensuring proper security measures.
    • Configure and manage security controls to ensure a secure cloud environment.
    • Manage Red Hat Image repositories and container deployments.
    • Automate routine administrative tasks using scripting and configuration management tools.
    • Provide support for various Linux services like Bind, Apache, Nginx, and MySQL.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve networking issues.
    • Manage and maintain user accounts and access controls.
    • Stay uptodate with the latest advancements in Linux administration and AWS services.
