Job Overview:

Responsibilities:

Conceptualization and Design:

Create and develop original fashion designs that align with the brand's aesthetic and target market.
Stay informed about fashion trends, market preferences, and competitor offerings.

Sketching and Rendering:

Produce detailed sketches and design illustrations, considering color, fabric, and silhouette.
Use computeraided design (CAD) software for digital rendering and presentation.

Collaboration:

Work closely with the Creative Director and other team members to understand design requirements and brand vision.
Collaborate with the Product Development Manager to ensure designs are productionfeasible.

Material and Trim Selection:

Collaborate with the Fabric Sourcing Merchandiser to select appropriate materials, fabrics, and trims for each design.
Consider cost, quality, and sustainability in material selection.

Prototyping and Sample Development:

Oversee the creation of prototypes and initial samples, collaborating with pattern makers and sample machinists.
Make design adjustments as needed based on sample feedback.

Presentation and Communication:

Present design concepts to the team, providing clear explanations and justifications for design choices.
Communicate with relevant teams to ensure a shared understanding of design specifications.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
Proven experience as a Fashion Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing original designs.
Proficient in design software, including Adobe Creative Suite and/or other CAD tools.
Knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, and production processes.
Strong understanding of fashion trends, têxtiles, and color theory.
