As we continue to expand our offerings, we are seeking a talented Bakery Chef to join our team and contribute to our success.


Responsibilities:


Menu Development:

Develop and update an enticing bakery menu featuring a diverse selection of bread, pastries, cakes, and desserts, catering to the preferences of our customers.


Production:

Oversee the daily production of baked goods, ensuring consistency in quality, taste, and presentation while adhering to established recipes and portion sizes.


Ingredient Procurement:
Source high-quality ingredients for bakery production, maintaining optimal inventory levels to minimize waste and ensure freshness.


Quality Control:

Conduct regular inspections of baked goods to ensure they meet our standards of excellence in terms of taste, texture, and appearance.


Food Safety and Hygiene:

Implement and enforce strict food safety and hygiene protocols in the bakery section, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices.


Team Management:

Lead and motivate bakery staff, providing training, guidance, and feedback to ensure they perform their duties effectively and deliver outstanding service.


Customer Service:

Interact with customers to understand their preferences and provide recommendations, ensuring a positive dining experience that encourages repeat visits.


Cost Management:
Monitor bakery expenses, including ingredient costs and labour expenses, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising on quality.


Creative Innovation:

Stay updated on current baking trends and techniques, experimenting with new recipes and Flavors to keep the bakery menu fresh and exciting.


Collaboration:

Work closely with other kitchen staff and management to coordinate menu offerings and ensure smooth operation of the food court.


Requirements:


Culinary Qualifications:
Diploma or degree in culinary arts or a related field from a recognized institution.


Bakery Experience:

Proven experience working as a Bakery Chef or a similar role, with a strong background in baking and pastry production.


Creative Skills:
Demonstrated creativity in developing innovative bakery recipes and menu items that appeal to a diverse customer base.


Leadership Abilities:
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve common goals.


Attention to Detail:
Meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of bakery production, including recipe adherence, portion control, and presentation.


Food Safety Knowledge:
Thorough understanding of food safety and sanitation practices, with certification in food handling and hygiene preferred.


Time Management:
Effective time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.


Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with staff, management, and customers.


Adaptability:

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required, with a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
