Responsibilities:
- Operate manual lathe machines to produce parts as specified in technical drawings and plans.
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints and technical documents to set up and operate the lathe machines accurately.
- Perform regular maintenance and minor repairs on the lathe machine to ensure functionality and longevity.
- Inspect and measure finished parts to ensure they meet all specifications, using precision measuring tools.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the production team to enhance efficiency and improve product quality.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a lathe machine operator, specifically with manual lathe machines.
- Strong understanding of metal properties and manual machine operations.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and perform precise measurements.
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification or diploma in engineering, machining, or related field is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail, problemsolving abilities, and manual dexterity.
