Description

Engineers are required to review circuit optimization, Method of
Procedures (MOP) to migrate & test IP customer services.

The IP Migration Engineer will be responsible for the execution of

live customer service migrations in support of various business drivers.

Engagement with Customer engineers & field technicians to facilitate a

successful service migration

Updating of project trackers, management systems and inventory inline

with CenturyLink Policies and guidelines.

Contribute to process documentation and work instructions in support

of new or ongoing activities.

Work moderate to complex projects with crossfunctional project teams

and with limited guidance.

Coaching of peers, providing crosstraining at regular intervals on

current and upcoming projects.

Participate in training and meetings as required by supervisor or as

needed to perform routine duties.

Experience

Applicant should have experience in a medium to large scale business in
implementation, deployment, and support of transport technologies.
Knowledge of or experience of Transmission provisioning is desirable but
not essential

experience in one or more of the following areas:

MPLS, L2/L3 VPN, VPLS, Routing and Switching, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, HSRP,

VRRP.

Experience on Cisco 7000, 3000 Series, Alcatel-Lucent (Nokia) 77XX and

Juniper MX120, MX480, MX960 or similar edge router/switches to design &
deploy L2/L3 VPN, VPLS services.

Network infrastructure experience on QoS for Data, Voice, and Video,

TCP/IP, IPSec VPNs

Valid CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA or MEF certification is desirable

Network performance analysis and reporting, L2 customer support for
trouble tickets.

Alarm management and throughput testing during migration activity.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, with an ability to
communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.

The successful applicant must have the ability and flexibility to work
under pressure, supporting the migration of live customer services under
a controlled change window with a regular requirement for out-of-hours
work between 00:00 and 06:00 (time calculated as local to the site/s
being migrated in EMEA).
