    Description

    Job Title: IT Specialist

    Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing our organization's IT infrastructure, providing technical support to users, and ensuring the security and efficiency of our systems. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your expertise will be crucial in maintaining our technology assets and supporting our team in achieving their goals.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Network Administration:
    • Manage and maintain the organization's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
    • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
    • Implement security measures to protect the network from cyber threats and unauthorized access.
    1. System Administration:
    • Administer servers, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems and applications.
    • Perform regular system updates and patches to ensure security and performance.
    • Monitor server health and performance and take proactive measures to optimize performance.
    1. Technical Support:
    • Provide technical assistance and support to users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
    • Respond to help desk tickets and service requests in a timely manner, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
    • Train users on new technologies and best practices to enhance productivity and efficiency.
    1. Information Security:
    • Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments, and implement remediation measures as necessary.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats and trends, and recommend proactive measures to mitigate risks.
    1. Backup and Disaster Recovery:
    • Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure the integrity and availability of data in the event of system failures or disasters.
    • Test backup and recovery procedures regularly to verify their effectiveness and reliability.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in network and system administration, with a strong understanding of networking protocols, server administration, and security principles.
    • Proficiency in operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and macOS.
    • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical users.
    • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft MCSA are preferred.
