About the Project
Swaniti Initiative is working as a technical advisor to the Chhattisgarh Green Council.

It has been working to understand the gaps and challenges as well as the untapped opportunities at the ground level, to design and implement pathways that can support the goals of the Chhattisgarh Green Council.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Conduct indepth research on topics related to minor forest produce market linkages, renewable energy, tourism, and carbon credits.
Analyze existing data, reports, and studies to gather valuable insights for ongoing and upcoming projects.
Assist in developing comprehensive plans and strategies for ongoing projects related to minor forest produce market linkages.
Create detailed documentation, including reports, summaries, and presentations, based on research findings.
Take the initiative to propose new research methodologies, tools, or approaches that can enhance the quality and depth of research activities.

Qualifications Required:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Sciences, Social Sciences, Sustainability, Ecology, Public Policy, or a related field.
Indepth understanding of environmental issues, sustainability concepts, and relevant scientific principles.

Skills & Attributes Preferred:

Strong analytical skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Familiarity with market research techniques
Research and data collection abilities
Taking Ownership and Meeting Deadlines

Learning and Development Opportunities for Interns:

The intern will be able to get a very detailed ground-level understanding of green livelihoods and plan formulation which incorporates multiple stakeholders and perspectives.
The intern will also get opportunities to be involved in research which is directly translated into action.
