    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications:

    Associate's degree

    • Bachelor's Degree
    • Equivalent experience
    • 1+ year(s) experience working with stakeholders in a project or program
    • Location: Bangalore, India (on-site only)
    • Native English speaker or equivalent experience in English for India

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
    • Deep knowledge of required language nuances
    • Ability to have an enjoyable work experience
    • Background in linguistics or computational linguistics
    • Experience in language technology, including speech
    • Proficiency in multiple required languages
    • Analytical Skills, Attention to Detail, Business Intelligence (BI), Native Language Proficiency, Operational Excellence, Research and Data Analysis

    The Data Annotation Specialist is responsible for data annotation and analysis using language skills and cultural knowledge to capture linguistic nuances accurately. They ensure precision, quality, and consistency in data annotation. Collaborating with project leads and other teams, they work on identifying quality issues and proposing solutions. They adapt communication strategies based on audience and business requirements, contributing to the growth and development of guidelines and work instructions.

    Their work involves utilizing in-house tools to transcribe and annotate data for various projects, ensuring accuracy and consistency. They evaluate the quality of transcription and annotation results, collaborate on problem-solving, and may come across sensitive material that needs to be handled responsibly to train AI models for the protection of Microsoft's customers.
