The Role

Collaborates with users to understand requirements and translate into test plans, ensuring product quality in own and other's work and using extensive testing engineering skills.
Identifies the test scope and coordinates the test environment setup, contributing to complex aspects of a project.
Ensures all test issues are documented and analysed and provides feedback and recommendations for product or design changes.
Develops internal quality control standards and the maintenance of reliability programs.
Keeps abreast of the latest technologies and identifies areas for continuous improvement.
Contributes in identifying areas where process and service improvements can be made and develops recommendations.
Contributes in conducting training and knowledge transfer sessions on business processes.
Contributes on the established best testing practices within the team.
Works closely with Development, Product/Business Analysts, and other Software Engineering functions to ensure high quality ontime delivery
Works with the team in assessing opportunities to strengthen definition of done and get us closer to delivering working software at the end of every sprint.
Help drive effective Agile Scrum practices to meet/exceed software engineering goals. Embrace and contribute to the team's Agile philosophy

Ability to carry out manual testing and have ability to automate the task to speed up the process.

Creates high quality acceptance tests from acceptance criteria and quality standards that help the scrum team understand the value of the user story from the user's perspective.
Collaborates with team members, both locally and globally.
Contributes on the building of the team's technical expertise/capabilities/skills through the delivery of regular feedback and knowledge sharing.
High learning adaptability, demonstrating understanding of the implications of technical issues on business requirements and / or operations

The Requirements

A Bachelor's/College Degree would be beneficial and extensive and of experience in a technology related discipline, such as IT or Engineering is required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrate understanding of SDLC process. Experience in Agile/Scrum framework.
Creates test scenarios from functional requirements and/or User Stories using the Gherkin format
Contribute to testing strategy for product that lead to high quality releases
Experience in writing SQL queries
Manages time effectively by placing the right focus on value added operations.
Knowledge of tools and techniques used in manual testing.
Working knowledge of the following technologies and how it impacts testing: JavaScript, Ajax, JQuery, CSS, XML, Angular, load balancing, single/multi tenancy, and rational database design concepts
Deeply understands practices of agile software development
Create and drive Regression testing strategy for product
Automation Testing with any programming language and Selenium
Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Quality Centre test tools
