Job Description - Purchase Executive

Job Summary

The Purchase Executive is instrumental in overseeing and managing the organization's procurement processes.

Responsible for sourcing equipment, goods, and services and managing vendors, this role is crucial for ensuring sustainable, cost-effective, and timely procurement.

The individual in this position is expected to utilize their negotiation skills, understand market dynamics, and make purchase decisions that align with the company's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Vendor Management:
→ Develop and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, ensuring best terms.

→ Regularly evaluate vendor performance to ensure a supply of quality products.

  • Procurement Strategy:
→ Plan and implement the overall company procurement strategy.

→ Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure clarity of specifications and expectations.

  • Sourcing:
→ Identify and source potential suppliers based on project requirements.

→ Negotiate price, quantity, and delivery schedules.

  • Purchase Order Management:
→ Prepare and process purchase orders in a timely manner.

→ Monitor deliveries and ensure timely receipt of purchased products.

  • Negotiation:
→ Use negotiation skills to secure advantageous terms on behalf of the company

  • Market Analysis:
→ Continuously research and stay informed of market trends affecting supply and prices.

→ Identify potential areas for cost savings.

  • Quality Assurance:
→ Ensure that all procured items meet the necessary quality standards and specifications.

→ Coordinate with the Quality Control department for product assessments.

  • Inventory Management:
→ Monitor stock levels and initiate reorder processes when necessary.

→ Collaborate with inventory control and sales to ensure accurate stock management.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • Minimum of 35 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management roles.
  • Experience with purchase order management and inventory control systems.
  • Experience in vendor management, negotiations, and procurement strategies.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Salary Range:
₹25000 to ₹30,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.


Pay:
₹25, ₹30,000.00 per month


Schedule:

  • Day shift

  • Kochi, Kerala: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
