    Description

    Operations Security Analyst

    Position Description

    As a member of the Global Cyber Security Services [GCS] Operations group under the Global Security organization [GSO], provide operational support and maintenance for the GSO managed security technology that enables protection, drives acceleration and ensures the integrity of the ADP brand.

    The Security Operations Analyst must ensure a high level of system availability by expeditiously addressing operational issues and requests and looking for proactive ways to minimize system outages. The candidate must be able to own a process or service and deliver a quality product in a timely manner.

    Responsibilities

    • to operational incidents on GSO technologies and underlying infrastructure, including but not limited to: Deep Packet Inspection, Security Information & Event Management, Data Loss Prevention, Intrusion Detection System, Passive Data Access Network, Enterprise Governance Risk & Compliance.
    • efficiency of Operations through scripting and automation
    • with Engineering, CIRC, other GSO areas, Business Unit contacts and vendor support as needed, in support of GSO technologies
    • or exceed established operational SLAs
    • with the collection and reporting of metrics to support KPI reporting
    • Engineering with the deployment of security technology, as necessary
    • routine and emergency administration and maintenance on GSO technologies and underlying infrastructure
    • other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • year experience with security practices within a large organization
    • Windows and Unix/Linux administration skills
    • knowledge of scripting languages (Shell, Python, Perl, etc.)
    • knowledge of networking protocol and services(tcp, udp, ssh, dns, dhcp, etc)
    • / understanding of commonly used security products (vulnerability and compliance management, deep packet inspection, threat prevention, data leaking prevention, etc.)
    • communication skills, verbal and written
    • service focused
    • to adapt and learn quickly, and work in a fast paced environment
    • supporting experience (AWS or other cloud) is a plus

    Education

    • Computer Science or equivalent s
    • and ITIL Certifications (desirable but not required)
