- Proven ability to collaborate with diverse teams from different cultures and locations
- This role involves reporting to the Back-End Big Data Ops Team within the IT department.
- The team is responsible for managing IT operations on the Big Data platform across multiple backend sites.
- Collaboration with business and other Big Data teams is key for delivering BI reports, tools, and data models.
- You will work with TIBCO Data Virtualization (TDV) and TIBCO Data Science (TDS) tools to enhance data integration, analysis, and reporting.
- Design, create, and sustain data virtualization solutions using TIBCO Data Virtualization (TDV)
- Integrate different data sources to ensure smooth access and immediate data availability
- Engage with stakeholders to grasp data needs and develop effective data models
- Monitor and improve TDV and TDS settings for top performance
- Identify bottlenecks, enhance queries, and boost data processing efficacy
- Ensure data security and comply with industry regulations
- Generate data visualizations, dashboards, and reports to aid business decision-making
- Optimize data pipelines for better performance and accuracy
- Collaborate closely with various teams, including data engineers, analysts, and business users
- Document data integration procedures, data lineage, and best practices
- Offer technical guidance and assistance to junior colleagues
- Investigate and resolve data-related issues to minimize impact on business operations
- Debug and troubleshoot TDV and TDS elements
- Implement preventive measures to prevent issue recurrence
- Enforce data governance policies, track data lineage, and manage metadata
- Ensure data precision, uniformity, and dependability
- Collaborate with data stewards to uphold high data quality standards
- Keep up with TIBCO product updates, new features, and industry trends
- Explore creative strategies to improve data virtualization and data science capabilities
- Promote the adoption of TDV and TDS internally
- Conduct training sessions for users and advocate best practices
- Proficiency in TIBCO Data Virtualization (TDV) and TIBCO Data Science (TDS) tools
- Experience with other TIBCO middleware components is advantageous
- Understanding of data integration methods, ETL processes, and data modeling
- Familiarity with SQL, XML, and data transformation languages
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Spotfire, Tableau, Power BI
- Skilled in diagnosing and resolving technical problems related to TDV and TDS
- Knowledge of debugging tools and log analysis
- Self-motivated to identify use cases and business value
- Logical approach to problem-solving and troubleshooting
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
