Job Title:
Ticketing Executive
Job Overview:
An Air Ticket Executive, also known as a Travel Consultant, is responsible for managing the booking and reservation of air travel for clients.
This role requires a strong understanding of airline ticketing systems, including Galileo software, and excellent customer service skills to assist clients with their travel plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Booking and Reservations:
Utilize Galileo software (or similar systems) to make flight reservations, book tickets, and confirm travel arrangements for clients.
Customer Service:
Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients with inquiries, changes to itineraries, cancellations, and addressing any travel-related issues promptly and professionally.
Itinerary Planning:
Collaborate with clients to plan and customize travel itineraries, including selecting flight options, arranging layovers, and suggesting accommodations and ground transportation.
Ticketing and Fare Calculation:
Calculate fares, issue tickets, and process payments accurately while ensuring compliance with airline and agency policies.
Knowledge of Airline Policies:
Stay updated on airline policies, baggage regulations, visa requirements, and other travel-related regulations to provide accurate information to clients.
Problem Resolution:
Handle and resolve customer complaints or concerns related to flight bookings, cancellations, delays, and other travel-related issues.
Documentation:
Prepare and manage travel documents, including e-tickets, boarding passes, and visas, as necessary.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of client interactions, bookings, and financial transactions.
Sales and Upselling:
Identify opportunities to upsell services, such as travel insurance, hotel accommodations, car rentals, and tours, to enhance the client's travel experience.
Emergency Assistance:
Provide support to travelers in case of emergencies, including rebooking flights during cancellations, arranging alternate transportation, or assisting with lost luggage.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and ethical standards in travel services.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Air Ticket Executive.
- Proficiency in using Galileo software.
- Strong knowledge of airline ticketing, fare calculation, and booking processes.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in ticketing and documentation.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Problemsolving ability and a proactive approach to customer issues.
- Knowledge of travelrelated regulations and visa requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in travel and tourism is a plus.
Salary:
₹25, ₹30,000.00 per month
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Weekend availability
Supplemental pay types:
- Yearly bonus
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Mumbai, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- working on Galileo: 2 years (required)
- international and domestic ticketing: 2 years (required)
