Kruti Retail Ventures LLP is a social enterprise that was established in 2013 with the mission to support coffee growers in Koraput, Odisha. We work closely with tribal and organic coffee growers to create sustainable farming practices and improve their livelihood. In addition to our impact model, we also operate a retail chain of coffee houses in India, where we serve coffee made from Arabica beans grown in Koraput.

Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Barista to join our team at Kruti Coffee. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks to our valued customers. This is a full-time position based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, and requires 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar role.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar role preferred
• Knowledge of different coffee beans, blends, and brewing methods
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and a passion for coffee
• Basic math skills for cash handling
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations

Roles and Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee drinks to customers according to their preferences
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that all equipment is properly sanitized
• Educate customers about different coffee blends and brewing methods
• Take customer orders and handle cash transactions accurately
• Ensure the quality of coffee drinks by following recipes and using proper techniques
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing any concerns or questions
• Work as part of a team to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction
• Assist in restocking inventory and maintaining supplies
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines
