Job Overview:

General Description includes utilizing a design system to produce basic Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) design deliverables. Generates conceptual P&ID layouts from Process Flow Diagrams (PFD). Generates Valve Take-Offs for piping materials. Maintains and promotes a focus on McDermott's end product whether engineering, fabrication or construction. Effectively communicates with other engineering disciplines. Ensures effective management of change.


Key Tasks and Responsibilities:


  • Design PFD/UFD/P&ID's from engineering markups
  • Knowledge of database maintenance
  • Perform material extractions from P&ID's for engineering
  • Designs instead of copy draft

Essential Qualifications and Education:


  • High school diploma
  • Typically, 210 years of direct relevant experience
  • Proficient with AutoCAD (current versions)

Preferred Qualification and Education:


  • Associates degree in drafting and design
