Job description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Utilizes knowledge of working properties for a wide variety of materials
Presets tools and addresses tool offsets prior to finishing cuts.
Uses measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications.
Utilizes knowledge of shop mathematics, charts, and tables. Uses standard bolts, screws, threads, and tapers, etc. to efficiently plan work.
Works from factory work orders, prints, sketches, written or verbal instructions.
Notifies supervisor of shop and tooling requirements.
Operates C.N.C machines as assigned and may be required to operate more than one machine simultaneously.
Works to required tolerances and is responsible for the quality of work produced.
Follows preventative maintenance procedures as outlined by machine manufacture or supervisors.
May be required to assist in machine repair.
Keeps machine and work area clean, lubricated, and orderly.
Makes proper job and time reports for timekeeping and tracking.
Performs other duties as assigned utilizing normal skills and abilities of the current position.
Remains aware and follows all health and safety practices. Works in a safe fashion and reports any concerns to supervisor
