The Role:

Storage &Backup Ops - L3

Key Responsibilities:

Backup monitoring and managing using CommVault
Daily backup jobs status check
Perform DR activities
Prepare action plan and execute Commvault upgrades
Daily health check of storage systems
NetApp storage infrastructure monitoring and managing
Testing / Validation of storage/backup systems
Build Technical Documents relation to operations
Proactively take actions to improve the service quality
Ensure timely creation of necessary reports or documentation related to the job or update the knowledge base
Be a good team player and handle pressures of operations job

Skills Required:

Minimum 9 years of work experience in backup/restore administration
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Commvault backup administration
Experience in storage management will be an added advantage
Data backup and restore management using Commvault
Experience in backup monitoring tools
Capable of managing the entire CommVault System Media agent, Policies, and joining it to an existing CommServ.
Hands on experience on migrating existing policies from existing older versions of CommVault onto the new CommVault installations
Troubleshooting CommVault issues and adding new Media Agents and creating Storage policies for them Configuration of Archive proxy server
Hands on experience on Commvault DB, Log etc Monitor and troubleshoot the backups involving multiple backup tools (Primary: Commvault, other backup tools like HP Data)
Hands on experience on different types of backup configuration and restoration (SQL, Exchange, FS, VM)
Hands on experience on CDR configuration
Hands on experience on AUX copy
Hands on experience on DR process
Strong Technical skills on CommVault Archive and able to drive the project tasks without any delays
Experience maintaining Enterprise level systems environment
NetApp storage monitoring and management
Storage monitoring tools experience
Protocol Management: CIFS, NFS, SAN, ISCSI
Experience/knowledge in Windows Server management
Experience/knowledge in Linux Server management
Understand ITIL process and follow it
Experience in working on ITSM tickets using SmartIT/BMC Remedy tool
Testing / Validation of storage/backup systems

Any Graduate
6 To 9 Years
