About the role:
Lead the vision, roadmap, delivery, and automation for the enterprise-wide Visualization Platforms.

The services focus on enabling the business and DDIT user community to accelerate the quality and delivery of solutions on the Visualization platforms with continuous platform improvements.

The position also includes some responsibilities of Web architecting for Mashups and Novartis internal User Experience portal 'OneDS'

Your responsibilities include but not are limited to:

Owns visualization technology and platform architecture. Drives the success of technology usage, compliance, operations, integrations, improvements and enablement of the business.
Responsible for the overall standards and direction of architecture for a visualization platform
Support visualization lead on 'existing, new and upcoming' features, technology decisioning and roadmap.
Propose to the solution architect the visualization architecture pattern to be applied based on functional requirements and nonfunctional requirements and considering the available technical patterns.

Take accountability to ensure alignment with security and compliance policies and procedures.

Maintain standard processes for technology integrations with other systems and data platforms (inbound and outbound).
Ensure alignment to Information Security & Compliance (ISC), Legal, ethics and other compliance policies and procedures in defining architecture standards, patterns, and platform solutions.

Web Architecture:

Govern the overall User Experience Portal roadmap, capabilities, tool selection, delivery and track business benefits, in close collaboration with the User Experience CoE lead.
Collaborate with User Experience team members and provide the architectural inputs to enable consistency of implementation approach and adherence to applicable methodologies, processes, tools, and standards.

Role Requirements

Education: bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or information technology field; an advanced degree and related accreditations a plus.

years of IT experience in a highly qualified function such as technical leader, in the area of Data and Analytics with strong exposure to Platform Architecture and Engineering.

5+ years demonstrable skills & experience in Analytics and Visualization with focus on platform engineering in a qualified technical function and global matrix organization.
Experience in Power BI, Web/Mobile App Mashup, Knowledge of other visualization technologies is a plus. Solid experience on AWS Cloud Services, AWS Certified Solution Architecture certification is preferred.
Track record of broad industry experience and solid understanding of complex enterprise IT landscapes and relationships as well as driving business transformations
Pharma domain specialization is a plus and understanding of data usage across the endtoend enterprise value chain. Demonstrated good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, and time management aligned with Novartis Values & Behaviors; deep technical expertise and understanding of the business processes and systems.
Experience in managing vendor and customer expectations and driving technofunctional discussion; understanding of the demand to sustain and project financial processes.
A bility to communicate across various customers, including internal and external, and align with all levels of IT and business partners. Excellent negotiation skills, experience with agile and DevOps methodology, capability to think strategically.
