Sales Promoter Responsibilities:


  • Listening to what customers want and helping them find the perfect product for their needs.
  • Constantly building product knowledge and delivering this knowledge in engaging ways.
  • Setting up attractive product displays and promotional booths.
  • Delivering presentations and demonstrations to customers and other stakeholders.
  • Engaging in meaningful interactions and building good relationships with customers.
  • Distributing samples and providing feedback for improvement to the management team.
  • Following up with customers and providing guidance on product selection.
  • Meeting daily targets and submitting sales reports.
  • Networking with relevant stakeholders.
  • Searching for new business opportunities.

Sales Promoter Requirements:


  • High school diploma or similar.
  • Degree in marketing preferable.
  • Experience in retail recommended.
  • Sharp customer service skills.
  • Eloquent and comfortable when delivering presentations.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent observation skills.
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate and provide information on promoted products/services.
  • Create a positive image and lead consumers to use it.
  • Use lectures, films, charts, and/or slide shows.
  • Distribute product samples, brochures, flyers etc....
  • Identify interest and understand customer needs and requirement

  • A sales promoter must provide all the needed information on promoted products and services
  • Assist customers in finding the suitable product they are looking for
  • Provide advice and guidance on product selectionto customers
  • Build lasting relationships with customers by contacting them to follow up on purchases, suggest purchase options and invite them to upcoming events
  • Consistently seek new product knowledge to act as an expert for the customer


  • Must have indepth knowledge about features, benefits and limitations of the product or service
  • Present products using interactive materials such as videos, charts, slideshows etc
  • Set up booths or promotional stands and stock products
  • Arrange merchandise to look tidy and attractive to customers
  • Disseminate product samples, brochures, flyers etc
  • Engage with customer and discover their wants and needs


  • Must make sure to complete the targets assigned to them
  • Sales promoters must keep records of their sales activities and report their progressto management
