Job Summary:
The Student Counselor will provide guidance, support, and counseling services to students in an educational setting. They will assist students in addressing personal, social, academic, and behavioral issues, fostering their well-being and academic success. The role involves individual counseling, group sessions, and collaborating with staff and families to support student development.


Responsibilities:


Counseling Services:
Offer individual and group counseling sessions to students dealing with personal, social, academic, or emotional challenges.


Assessment:
Conduct assessments and evaluations to understand students' needs and develop appropriate counseling plans.


Student Support:
Provide guidance on academic goals, career choices, study skills, and personal development.


Crisis Intervention:
Respond to crisis situations and provide immediate support and intervention when necessary.


Referrals:
Refer students to external resources or professionals for specialized assistance beyond the scope of counseling services.


Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and parents/guardians to support student well-being and success.


Educational Programs:

Develop and conduct workshops, seminars, or training sessions on relevant topics (e.g., stress management, conflict resolution) for students and staff.


Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and confidential student records, progress notes, and documentation of counseling sessions.


Advocacy:
Advocate for students' needs and promote a positive and inclusive school culture.


Continued Learning:
Stay updated on counseling techniques, mental health trends, and best practices through professional development opportunities.


Salary:
₹15, ₹40,000.00 per month


Schedule:

  • Day shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Mumbai, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • Bachelor's (preferred)

Experience:


  • Counselling: 1 year (preferred)
