    We are in charge of the tax platform, delivering the fundamental services that compute taxes (sales tax and VAT) for all Amazon transactions, both physical and digital, worldwide, and issuing tax invoices accordingly.

    Our main focus is ensuring the accurate tax amounts are presented to customers during the order process, safeguarding audit records to comply with tax laws globally, and producing tax-compliant invoices.

    Our tasks involve keeping pace with intricate and constantly evolving global tax regulations and rates, as well as performing calculations accurately and swiftly, thousands of times per second, with no margin for error.

    We seek software engineers who excel in tackling complex challenges and enjoy the thrill of managing sophisticated and crucial systems under intensive loads. Our systems handle hundreds of millions of records and cater to millions of service requests every minute.

    As a software development engineer within this team, you will have a vital role in:

    • Work collaboratively with the team to influence business decisions
    • Design, develop, test, deploy, and uphold innovative software solutions to enhance service efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and security
    • Adhere to software engineering best practices to ensure top-notch quality for all team deliverables
    • Create top-tier distributed system software
    • Operate in an agile, startup-like development environment where you are constantly engaged with crucial tasks

    We are flexible with regards to hiring candidates for the following locations:

    • Hyderabad, TS, IND

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • 3+ years of professional software development experience, excluding internships
    • 2+ years of design or architecture involvement (utilizing design patterns, focusing on reliability, and scaling) in both new and existing systems, excluding internships
    • Experience in programming with at least one software language

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • 3+ years of experience covering the full software development life cycle, including adherence to coding standards, participation in code reviews, managing source control, establishing build processes, testing, and operations
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent qualification
