Job Description:
FEA Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
Finite Element Analysis (FEA):
- Conduct comprehensive FEA for offshore structures, marine structures, and mechanical systems, ensuring accuracy and reliability in transient, fatigue, nonlinear analyses, etc.
- Utilize ANSYS or similar for structural, thermal, and vibration assessments and LS DYNA for specialized analyses such as impact/collision analyses, drop object scenarios, etc.
- Having experience working with vessels, barges, offshore platforms is a must.
- Having experience working on structures such as containers, spreader bars, padeyes, etc is an advantage.
- Having knowledge and experience of performing CFD analyses is an added advantage.
Feasibility Studies:
Evaluate the feasibility of finite element models in different environments to optimize structural integrity, thermal performance, vibration characteristics, etc.
Modeling and Simulation:
Develop and refine finite element models, considering complex structural/mechanical systems structures to simulate various scenarios accurately.
Material Properties Validation:
Validate material properties through analysis, ensuring accurate representation in finite element models.
Experience working with various materials is an added advantage.
Model Validation:
Implement thorough validation processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of FEA models.
Identify and address discrepancies, refining models to enhance predictive capabilities.
Training and Leadership:
Demonstrate leadership capabilities by leading a team of engineers and providing mentorship.
Conduct training sessions to enhance the skills of junior engineers in FEA methodologies and software tools.
Technical Documentation:
Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation outlining FEA methodologies, results, and recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in structural Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in Finite Element Analysis, specializing in offshore structures, marine structures, and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in using ANSYS or similar and its modules for various analyses, including transient, fatigue, and nonlinear analysis.
- Extensive experience with LS DYNA for specialized analyses like impact/collision and drop object scenarios.
- Understanding of international standards such as API, DNV, BS, and ISO as applicable to offshore and marine engineering.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Leadership experience, including the ability to lead a team, provide mentorship, and collaborate effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fastpaced environment and meet project deadlines.
Salary:
₹40, ₹85,000.00 per month
