Sofa Maker

Job Summary:
The Sofa Maker is responsible for crafting high-quality sofas according to design specifications and customer preferences. This role involves using various tools and materials to create durable and aesthetically pleasing pieces of furniture.


Key Responsibilities:


Furniture Construction:
Construct sofas and other upholstered furniture according to design specifications.
Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery to cut, shape, and assemble wooden frames.
Install springs, padding, and upholstery materials to create comfortable and visually appealing pieces.


Material Selection:
Select appropriate materials for each sofa based on design requirements and quality standards.
Ensure that materials are used efficiently to minimize waste and cost.


Quality Control:
Inspect finished sofas for quality, durability, and adherence to design standards.
Make any necessary adjustments or repairs to meet quality expectations.


Collaboration:
Work closely with designers, upholsterers, and other team members to ensure seamless collaboration in the production process.
Communicate effectively to understand and implement design specifications.


Safety and Maintenance:
Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal functionality.


Time Management:
Efficiently manage time to meet production deadlines and delivery schedules.
Prioritize tasks based on urgency and project requirements.


Qualifications and Skills:


Experience:

Proven experience as a sofa maker or in a similar furniture manufacturing role.
Familiarity with various types of sofas and furniture styles.


Skills:
Proficient in the use of woodworking tools and machinery.
Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to interpret and follow design plans and specifications.


Physical Fitness:
Ability to lift and move heavy furniture components.
Stamina and physical endurance for extended periods of manual labor.


Team Player:
Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues.


Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
₹15, ₹24,000.00 per month
