Description
Purchase engineers oversee the purchase of technical equipment for industrial operations.

They collaborate with designers to determine the equipment needed to complete construction projects according to specifications, research vendors for that equipment, then order it.

Purchase engineers negotiate purchase agreements with vendors and award contracts to vendors for equipment.

They also monitor any adjustments to equipment needs to maintain the optimum supply of equipment to complete projects on time and within budget.


A purchase engineer must possess high-level organization and record-keeping skills to maintain a consistent flow of equipment to the company's factories or worksites and ensure vendors are fulfilling the terms of their contracts.

Influencing and negotiation skills are also crucial for procurement engineers, as it's up to them to negotiate the purchasing agreements for engineering equipment and hire vendors for projects.


  • Generating Purchase Order While Taking due care of Taxes, Rates & Terms and Conditions.
  • Vendor Development.
  • Raw material purchasing & procurement
  • Supplier Interaction.
  • Preparing Comparative Statements and Analyzing Quotations.
  • Maintaining Min Max Stock as Per ABC Analysis.
  • Knowledge of Credit Purchasing.
  • Technical Negotiating.
  • Basic knowledge of Costing.
  • Planning the material based on consumption and Generating Purchase order to the vendor.
  • Creating purchase order for invoice received from the principles.
  • Raising claims for shortage, damage, price difference and wrong parts to principles and follow
  • Up for Supplier debits notes and payments.
  • Making Purchase Order,(All Type)
  • Manage Suppliers and also Developed Suppliers
  • Follow up with the expertise for implementing corrective actions to eliminate errors
  • Provided monthly and daily production plan as per the dispatch schedule.
  • Monitored productivity & utilization by process control techniques to achieved desired targets
  • Act as a point of contact between the company and suppliers
  • Identify potential suppliers based on project requirements
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and deadlines with vendors and suppliers
  • Manage to ensure goods delivery in a timely manner
  • Process purchase orders to acquire goods Work closely with the legal department to ensure contract terms are favorable to the company
  • Attend meetings with the engineering team, vendors, and suppliers

Skills Required:


  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in supplier quality or supplier development
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Ability to execute tasks independently
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, specifications, and regulations
  • PC skills including MS Office, Auto CAD, and Solid works
  • Willingness to travel 2550%, both domestically
  • Experience working in a fastpaced and deadlinedriven environment

Salary:
₹15, ₹16,000.00 per month
